You may think I’m joking here, but I’m not. I let my kids pick out a toy before school started. They fell on these things like I do on the chips and queso. There was much begging and promising involved.

They even resorted to hugging and kissing! That’s how popular these Bakugan are.

Bakugan are small plastic spheres shaped like dragons and such that open up when rolled over a magnetic surface, like the Bakugan cards that come with them. When you and your opponent’s Bakugan both open up and “stand” on a card you do battle. Exciting stuff, huh?

My kids LOVE these things!

We got the battle arena (what can I say, I am a total sucker for “I love you mom,” and hugs and kisses–in public no less!) and a couple of starter packs. They are hard to find in the store right now, so I recommend buying online.

Make your kids beg, though. Totally worth it after a long, long summer!
