Okay, you might think I’m crazy but it wouldn’t be the first time. I LOVE these things. I’ve held out for several years using grocery bags, etc. to pick up my dog’s lovely leavings, and finally decided it was time for a change.

This little poo bag dispenser (that’s a technical name, by the way) is shaped like a bone. Very cute! And the bags are inside. You just pull one out as needed. The bags are biodegradable and decent sized. And the bones come in different colors, so your precious Brutus doesn’t have to have a pink one.

The little bone attaches to your dog’s leash and shazam, you are ready for a walk! This is so much nicer than your average grocery bag because…biodegradable, hello? And, if your dog does his thing more than once, you’re always prepared. AND, if you actually want to say, talk on the phone or put your hands in your pockets because it’s cold outside, you can.

Never worry about your dog hunching over at the least opportune moment–you know, like when your on your neighborhood’s main road with lot’s of traffic–to drop his SECOND bomb without your having a bag. Try these Bags to Go from Target. You can get refills, too.

Bone-Shaped Plastic Bag Dispenser with Refills $11.99

It’s way better than a Kong and my dog loves it!

This isn’t a pic of my dog. I used up a lot of treats and couldn’t get one good shot of him. Every time he heard the camera beep, he went behind the coffee table and looked at me from underneath. This pic is actually from another blog where they let they dogs have at these toys. There is a great review, too. Read it here.

There is a mini Leo (pictured here) for dogs 15 pounds and under, and a regular Leo. You can use the toy alone (that’s what I’m currently doing) or hook them together when your dog can get the treats out too fast. These are great for when you have company and you don’t want your dog sniffing all over them, or when you have to be gone for a while and you don’t want them to be bored. A great idea. I’m totally glad I bought mine.

It was pretty hot and humid. My friend had the Pet2O Clip on Dog Bowl attached to the handlebar of her bike.

All she had to do was pull her water bottle out of it’s holder and pour some water in. The dogs had a nice drink, and off we went.

With the clip on dish you have two options, you can clip it directly onto your water bottle or clip it onto something else. Whatever works for you. It was a lifesaver for us today. You could easily use it at festivals, the park or any time you take your dog out on a warm day.

The system is wireless, so you don’t have to lay cable or bury things. You can also travel with it! How cool is that? My folks live in Louisiana, and it’s hard to keep track of our fluffy little dog way out in the country. I can just pop this system in with our luggage and go.

I know the system works, because friends had it. Their dog always stayed in the yard, and they never had to worry about him wandering into the street or even just wandering off. That’s the kind of peace of mind I want.

I don’t know if you can tell from the picture, but this is a poo rake that has a clip where you can attach a bag. That’s nice for disposal. It’s designed to be used from a standing position. Just think…no more squatting down, leaning over a steaming pile of dog doo in the winter. Just rake it in and go. Woo hoo!

There’s a lever on the handle you squeeze that makes the little rake sweep the poo into the bag. Viola! No more dog mess or cat mess or other gross mess you don’t want to touch. And according to reviews, you can use any size bag. That could be good if you have a Great Dane.

Poop Hound (I’m laughing every time I type this) has a lifetime warranty.

I think the Soggy Paws Dog Towel is genius! I wish I had thought of it myself. I keep an ugly, holy, gross towel at the door for cleaning wet paws when I come in from a walk with my dog.

My towel doesn’t work so well. It doesn’t have nice little pockets for my hands so I can grip my dog’s little paws. Contrary to the picture of the perfect little well-behaved dog here, my dog is constantly pulling his paws back from me while I’m trying to dry them. The pocket would give me an edge in our little paw cleaning power struggle.

I also like that it looks nice. Way better than what I’m currently using. And it’s machine washable. And it has a loop on the end so I can hang it up with the leash. You know, I wouldn’t need this at all if I could just get him to wipe off his feet before we come in the house. Yeah, that’s not gonna happen, huh?

I took my dog to the groomer and asked to have his teeth brushed this time. My kids were saying he had bad breath (huge understatement!). His teeth came out so clean I asked her if they sold the stuff there.

They actually just use this kit from Petsmart. It’s the Petrodex Dental Kit for dogs. It comes with toothbrush, finger toothbrush and beef (blech!) flavored toothpaste.

All I can say is the stuff works great! My dog no longer has a stinky mouth, and for ten bucks (that’s what the kit costs and what the groomer charges to do it) I’ll suck it up and brush his teeth myself.

Isn’t it weird that beef toothpaste would actually make a dog’s breath smell better? Go figure…
